While scuba diving for fun, Bruce Li and his pals discover a bunch of gold. Of course, nothing in life is free, so before they can spend a cent, assassins are popping out of the woodwork and brutally murdering them one by one. Can Bruce use his precise high kicks to save his pals before all their necks are broken, their guts stabbed, and their bodies crushed under the wheels of a speeding bus?
A tour de force for the legendary Bruce Li (Ho Tsung-Tao), THE IRON DRAGON STRIKES BACK (aka The Gold Connection) is notable for being the only film directed by wildman Kuei Chih-Hung (THE BOXER’S OMEN) outside of the Shaw Brother studio system. The result is a primal scream of blistering action shot on the mean streets of Hong Kong (without permits) dripping with blood and littered with smashed skulls.
