Regular price $10.00 Sale

LIMITED TO 200 HAND-NUMBERED COPIES!

The year is 1952 and Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis are the biggest stars in America. You won't find them in Bela Lugosi Meets a Brooklyn Gorilla, but you will find their most shameless imitators: Duke Mitchell & Sammy Petrillo. Laugh/cringe at these legendary rip-off artists in their first and only feature film, where they make merry on an exotic/fake-looking South Seas island and run afoul of a mad scientist played by a fully-committed Bela Lugosi. Duke croons, Sammy clowns, Bela scowls, and legendary director William Beaudine (Billy the Kid vs. Dracula, Jesse James Meets Frankenstein's Daughter) is there to record it all for posterity. See the iconic film that Jerry Lewis tried to destroy (yes, he attempted legal action), lovingly unrestored and loaded with extras!

ABOUT THE TRANSFERS

The Important Cinema Club Bargain-Bin Classics series is dedicated to preserving and celebrating classic cinema the way it was meant to be seen: in the bad, dupey prints that were prevalent in VHS and DVD bargain-bins in the early 2000s. The producers of this edition scoured out-of-print bargain-basement DVDs dating from the early 2000s to find just the right transfers: clear enough to be legible, but damaged enough to look like a local TV broadcast from the ‘60s.
